Be mindful of baggage. Check your airline's carry-on rules. If taking smaller flights between countries, some have carry-on specifications that are different from domestic U.S. flights. If you pack incorrectly and have to check a bag, it will be an added expense.
If you are on a tour, check luggage size recommendations. Some tours have different size requirements.
